After Care Advice

Thank you for coming to The Calm Zone.

Massage aids the removal of toxins from the body.

Please try to rest and relax after your treatment as this ensures that the body is able to heal itself sufficiently and gain maximum benefit from the treatment.


  • Drink plenty of water and herbal infusions to help flush out toxins;
  • Coffee, tea and cola should be avoided as they contain caffeine. If you do have caffeine, drink two glasses of water afterwards.
  • Avoid heavy meals. Eat a light and natural diet, as refined and processed foods add to the toxins in the body and hinder the natural healing process.
  • Ensure you have a healthy and well-balanced diet.
  • Do not smoke or drink alcohol for the next 24 hours. Alcohol and smoking are counter-productive as they increase the levels of toxins in the body.


Some people may experience the following after treatment:


  • Tiredness or fatigue
  • Changes in sleep patterns
  • Headaches
  • Feeling emotional, perhaps even tearful
  • Changes in bowel movements/urine output
  • Excess perspiration
  • Flu-like symptoms


These are only temporary and should subside within 24-48 hours.
